Medical Thermography

Since thermal imaging is noninvasive, risk-free and relatively portable, it is a very practical tool in the clinical setting and may be used in the sports medicine clinic, private practice or the training room to assess injury and make clinical decisions. This extends advantage for post game/event evaluation of injuries and strains but also provides a mechanism for evaluation of training fatigue (eg. shin splints, stress fractures etc). This allows optimization of training, recovery and rest paradigms. Thermal imaging not only helps confirm a diagnosis, but can be used as a gauge to clinically assess progress and treatment response.
